The SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon is a challenge in the true sense of the word! Ascending 1685m over 26 miles of iconic and spectacular trails this epic race will circumnavigate and eventually climb Wales' highest peak, Snowdon. The route explores the stunning trails, spectacular panoramic views, and tough climbs that make Snowdonia National Park such a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Visiting Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass and Snowdon itself there surely can't be a more striking trail marathon route in the UK.
A half marathon and 10k option is also available, taking in some of the same fantastic trails as the full marathon as well as Padarn country park in the heart of the famous Dinorwig slate quarries.
As well as a fantastic day of racing, there will be masses to see and do to keep the spectators entertained. This will include music, a wide range of activities and loads of kids entertainment too. Most of all you're guaranteed an incredibly warm welcome from the local Welsh communities.
Scott Snowdonia Trail Marathon
(Approx. 26.2 miles, 1685 metres of ascent)
This route takes you from Wales' adventure capital Llanberis on a route which circumnavigates and eventually climbs Wales' highest peak, Snowdon. Before finishing the race where you started in Llanberis, you will explore stunning trails with spectacular panoramic views across the Snowdonia National Park, whilst visiting Rhydd ddu, Beddgelert, the beautiful Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass and, of course, Snowdon itself.
Scott Snowdonia Trail Half Marathon
(Approx. 13.1 miles, 1236 metres of ascent)
This route takes you from Wales' adventure capital Llanberis up the famous Maesgwm, onto Wales' highest peak, Snowdon, and through the stunning Padarn country park before returning to Llanberis to finish. This trail half marathon will reward you with spectacular views across Snowdonia.
Scott Snowdonia Trail 10k
(Approx. 10 km, 409 metres of ascent)
This route takes you through the streets of Wales' adventure capital Llanberis before heading out on the trail paths that snake around the bases of some of the most spectacular mountains in the UK. The route then joins the Snowdon Llanberis Path back towards the town, past Dolbadarn Castle and into Padarn Country Park. The route finishes where it started.
